A capsule collection named after Shinagawa and Setagaya, the neighborhoods we grew up in. What we aimed for: the ultimate balance of price and quality.

Made in the air of the city
Jonan is the southern half of Tokyo — Meguro, Ōta, Shinagawa, Setagaya. Jonan Studio makes the clothes we want to wear in our own city, the clothes we want to see someone else wearing — pieces you’d reach for every day, beyond season or trend. At the same time, we never forget that clothes eventually wear out. So we aim for a price that’s easy to replace and a quality worth loving for years — the perfect balance between the two.
A small, considered collection rooted in heritage and built for today — clothes for people who love the culture but want to feel like themselves on the street.

The lightness you reach for every morning, without a second thought.
Designing this t-shirt capsule, we started by questioning the current obsession with 100% cotton and boxy fits. Cotton is wonderful, no argument there — but in a Tokyo that keeps getting unbelievably hotter each year, it can feel a little heavy to wear all season.

A smooth hand-feel, without giving up a beautiful silhouette.
A light, elevated t-shirt cut from a 40/1 jersey knit (4.8oz) with just the right amount of weight. The fabric — 47.5% cotton, 47.5% rayon, 5% polyurethane — pairs cotton’s natural texture with the drape and fluidity only rayon can give, while a touch of polyurethane adds gentle stretch for all-day comfort.

Shinagawa Tee (Relaxed Fit)
A dropped shoulder and a gently oversized silhouette bring an easy, of-the-moment feel to the fit. Worn on its own, it holds its presence — and pairs effortlessly with denim, wide-leg pants, or shorts. Soft to the touch, beautifully draped, and comfortably stretchy — a relaxed-fit tee built for daily wear.

Setagaya Tee (Just Fit)
A design that makes the most of the fabric, with just as much care put into the silhouette. It skims the body’s line without ever feeling tight — equally at home worn alone or layered underneath. Thrown on solo with denim, it’s rock-star casual. Paired with slacks, a jacket, or a set-up, it’s ready for a night out. Both are exactly the picture we had in mind.
